MEMBERSHIP MEETING

A-SHIFT
CALLED TO ORDER: 7:30 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT:
J. Tolley, Vinup, Avilla, Rann, Atkinson, Conte, Munch, Crowl, Morissette, Batton, Coutu, Eyster,
Young and Spencer.
MINUTES:
MOTION by Avilla to accept minutes from April 8, 2004, 2nd Morissette, motion carried.
PRESIDENT REPORT:
The ladder climb for MDA went well, Melbourne Fire Fighters Local 1951 and Palm Bay Fire Fighters
Local 2246 raised $3,400.00. Melbourne Fire Fighters Local 1951 and Palm Bay Fire Fighters Local
2246 will try to do a ladder for MDA on November 11, 2004 at the Wal-Mart in Melbourne.
Discussed what Melbourne City Council Seats are up for election, they are Mayor, District 1, District 2,
District 3 and District 5.
Discussed the Union Property we have, there has been an offer made to buy the property, we will be
putting a committee together to see what we want to do, sell, buy or build.
VICE- PRESIDENT REPORT:
Melbourne Fire Fighters Local 1951 will be putting on a Golf Tournament for MDA on August 7, 2004
at Harbor City Golf Course and will try to do a MDA BOOT DRIVE on August 27 and 28, 2004
TREASURER REPORT:
MOTION by Munch to move $500.00 from line 14a of the General Fund to line 4c of the Benevolent
Fund, this is for Fire Fighters Olympics, 2nd Morissette, motion carried.
MOTION by Avilla to accept Treasurer Report, 2nd
Morissette, motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS:
Discussed Melbourne Fire Dept. S.O.G., they are in review now.
NEW BUSINESS:
Discussed our health insurance, we are wanting to get the dollar amount from the City of Melbourne
and from CBSA, there will be a special meeting some time in September 2004 to discuss Insurance
rates.
MOTION by Avilla to adjourn, 2nd Conte, motion carried.
