MOTION by Coulter to accept minutes from July 7, 2005, 2nd

PRESIDENT
REPORT:
The ladder climb that Melbourne Fire Fighters Local 1951 and Palm Bay
Fire Fighters Local 2246
did at Wal-Mart on Malabar Rd., September 3, 2005, was to be for MDA, it
was changed to help the
Hurricane Victims in the Gulf Coast States, $7,300.00 was raised.
Discussed doing a MDA Boot Drive, no action taking at this time.
TREASURER
REPORT:
Melbourne Fire Fighters Local 1951 sent a check to MDA for $3,075.00,
this was from the MDA
Golf Tournament on August 13, 2005.
$1,500.00 was colleted and given to Battalion Chief Salmons for his
Daughter Brittany Funeral,
$1,225.00 from Melbourne Fire Fighters, Fire Admin., Melbourne City Hall
and Citizens of Brevard
County, $275.00 from Melbourne Fire Fighters Local 1951.
Melbourne Fire Fighters Local 1951 donate $500.00 for food at the
luncheon after the Funeral for
Battalion Chief Salmons Daughter Brittany.
MOTION by Clark to accept Treasurer Report, 2nd
Wooldridge, motion carried.
PIO:
Discussed manning a table at the upcoming Boo at the Zoo Event, at the
Brevard Zoo and making some
props for the Zoo.
MOTION by Van-Kramer to donate $250.00 for materials and $125.00
for a light control box, from line
3g from the Benevolent Fund, this is for Boo at the Zoo props, 2nd
Coulter, MOTION by Tymann to
amend to donate $1,000.00 from line 3g of the Benevolent Fund, for
materials, light control box and
candy, 2nd Wooldridge, both motion carried.
Boo at the Zoo will be on October 21,22,23,28,29 and 30, 2005, from 5:30
PM to 9:30 P.M.
COMMITTEE
REPORT:
Discussed SOG/LM meetings, there have been some new SOG’S that have
come out, more to follow.
Discussed Union Building, we are still looking into getting the house
behind Station 71.
OLD
BUSINESS:
Discussed Battalion Chief Promotional Procedure that Chief Forsberg would
like to implement.
Discussed Unions Insurance, there will be a 8% increase to our rates
October 1, 2005, looking at a three
tier drug prescription co-pay and getting prescriptions thur Walgreen’s
Drug Store.
Discussed Union Insurance rate increase to the retirees.
MOTION by Wooldridge to have the retirees Insurance Rates start
November 1, 2005, 2nd Tymann,
motion carried.

BUSSINES:
Discussed Union Calendars, the inserts have be ordered for the checkbook
type calendars and the wall
and pocket calendars will be ordered soon.
Discussed Representative Bob Allen re-election to the Florida House
District 32.
MOTION by Jay Wilson to endorse Representative Bob Allen for
re-election to the
Florida House District 32, 2nd
Coulter, motion carried.
MOTION by Coulter to adjourn, 2nd Jay Wilson, motion
carried.
