 CALLED TO ORDER:            7:30 P.M.

 

 MEMBERS PRESENT:

 

            J. Tolley, Vinup, Ken Atkinson, Rann, Coulter, Crowl, Morissette, Hansen, Batton, K. Carroll,

            S. Roberts, Rigsby, Marcan, Petronella, Kiel Atkinson, Conte, Starkey, Stainton, Glenn Walde

            and Platt.

 

 MINUTES:

 

            MOTION by Starkey to accept minutes from July 11, 2007, 2nd Conte, motion carried.  

 

 

 TREARSURER REPORT:

 

MOTION by Morissette to move $1,800.00 from line 13 to line 5p of the General Fund, this is to rent a storage unit and to make available up to $1,000.00 from line 3g of the Benevolent Fund, this is for the Fire Truck that Lt. Waite is making, 2nd Starkey, motion carried.

 

            MOTION by Conte to accept Treasurer Report as amended, 2nd Rann, motion carried.

 

            The Christmas Party will be at the Shiners Club on Eau Gallie Blvd on December 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.

             on B-Shift.

 

 PRESIDENT REPORT:

 

            Discussed property tax reform, in the court system now, there will be a special session in

            Tallahassee on this item.

 

            Discussed 3 ½ % multiplier and insurance subsidy, we are still waiting to get the new numbers

            from the actuary to see what the cost is going to be for the 3 ½ % multiplier.

 

            Discussed the negotiations the Union had with The City of Melbourne, all they wanted to talk about

            was pay.

 

 OLD BUSINESS:

 

Discussed the house behind Station 71, have not heard anything back yet, as to selling the house.

 

 NEW BUSINESS:

 

            MOTION by K. Carroll to add His Place Ministries to line 3c of the Benevolent fund, this is for

            Christmas Donations for the women’s shelters in Melbourne, 2nd Petronella, motion carried.

 

            Discussed uniform order form, will be going back to what is in the Union Contract.

 

MOTION by Platt to pay up to $50.00 for entry fees only to come from line 4d of the Benevolent Fund, this is for the National Firefighters Olympic Games, 2nd Morissette, motion carried.

 

Discussed Union Dues being taken out of the last check when death occurs or you have a catastrophe illness, while still employed.

 

            MOTION by Platt for the Executive Board to come back to the next Quarterly Meeting with a

recommendation about Union Dues being taken out of the last check when death occurs or you have a catastrophe illness, while still employed, 2nd Conte, motion carried.

 

 

            MOTION by Platt to adjourn, 2nd Conte, motion carried.
