 CALLED TO ORDER:            7:10 P.M.

 

 MEMBER PRESENT:

           

J. Tolley, Vinup, Morissette, Coulter, Mares, Carey, Stone, Batton, Ken Atkinson, Hammer,

            Rethwisch, C. Carroll, Poley, Skinner, Hunt, Morton, Tymann and Young.

 

 MINUTES:

           

MOTION by Morissette to accept minutes from January 09, 2008, 2nd Hammer, motion carried.

 

 PRESIDENT REPORT:

 

            Discussed your rights if you are being question or being investigated, they are the Weingarten Rights

            and Firefighters Bill of Rights, these will be put on the Union Web site.

 

 TREASURER REPORT:

 

            MOTION by Young to accept Treasurer Report, 2nd Hammer, motion carried.

 

MOTION by Hammer to accept 2008-2009 budget as amended, to send up to two Union Members to

the IAFF Legislative Conference in March 2009, add money to lines 7A, 8A, 9A and 10A, this is for the IAFF Legislative Conference in March 2009, this is for registration, per diem, travel and lodging of the General Fund, add $600.00 to line 5I of the General Fund, this is for sales tax the Union is being charged on our office rent, and change the name of line7D from Retirement Board to Pension Board of the General Fund, 2nd Skinner, motion carried.

 

 COMMITTEE REPORT:

 

Discussed overtime policy and overtime spreadsheets, they will be put on the G-drive on all Stations computer’s.

 

Discussed promotional procedures, everyone will have to retest next year and there will be some

changes to the tests.

  

 OLD BUSINESS

 

            Discussed 3 ½ % multiplier.

 

            MOTION by Morissette to have two meeting at the Union Office on April 10 and 11, 2008 from

            9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. both days to discuss the 3 ½ % multiplier, 2nd Hammer, motion carried.

 

            Discussed the Emeritus Status for Executive Board members, President Tolley was unable to find

any language from the FPF or IAFF, so President Tolley and the Executive Board will have to write

the language for this policy.

 

            The policy for Union Time Pool has been written.

 

MOTION by Ken Atkinson to endorse President Schaitberger for reelection for IAFF President and endorse Secretary/Treasurer Bollon for reelection for IAFF Secretary/Treasurer, 2nd Young, motion carried.

 

            MOTION by Ken Atkinson to thank Terry Vinup for service on the Executive Board as Secretary,

            2nd Young, motion carried.

 

            Discussed Union Dues being taken out of your check when death occurs or if you have a catastrophe

illness, while still employed, a policy will be written up on these.
