President Jim Tolley
Executive Board Local 1951
Dear Jim:
It has been a privilege to serve the membership of our
Local. I feel that we have
made many strides and accomplished a lot of goals. For we are the goal setters.
Thru
the many years and the enhancement of our contracts, our wages and working
conditions have been greatly improved. I hope that everyone remembers that it
was
achieved with teammanship and hard work "our greatest assets", that
helped us attain
these improvements.
Jim, your ability to communicate with management and your
problem solving
skills has greatly enhanced our well-respected status with the City. After
having served
on the executive board, under your watch, I feel only the closest of members
realize
your worthiness as Union President. I could go on and on, but let me get to the
intent
of this letter.
As most of the department already knows, I intend on
retiring April 9, 2004-1
will dearly miss the many challenges and most of all the many friends that I
have
both on and off duty. Please encourage the members to come and visit me if they
are
ever in the Astor area.
Always a proud member of Local 1951
