Firefighter Greg Smith was a member of the Melbourne Fire Dept. for 15 years. He was 49 when he died. He was found deceased at his home. Greg was an avid surfer and a frequent traveler to Costa Rica where he hoped to retire some day. He was well known for his fun loving personality and hard work when the chips hit the fan. He was an asset to the dept and will be missed greatly.
